Jeff Mills was born and raised in Northern California in the late fifties.

Jeff on Tour with the Doobie BrothersHe developed a love for music in his early years being raised in a musical family. Jeff became the lead singer and drummer of his first band at the age of twelve. He played in several bands throughout high school.

In 1979, at the age of twenty years old, Jeff began working for The Doobie Brothers rock band. Two short years later he was promoted to the bands road manager where he remained for the next twenty years. Jeff used his organizational skills and his ability to work with all types of personalities to promote the band during the years of their greatest growth.

Jeff also worked in country music at Warner Brothers Nashville with such acts as Southern Pacific, Lone Star and others. Upon returning to Marin County he spent time with Huey Lewis and The Jefferson Starship. One of his most memorable moments in the music industry was meeting with John Lennon in the studio while he was recording the Double Fantasy album in New York City. Good job Jeff.

Jeff Mills Live on the RadioAfter years on the road Jeff has returned to Marin where he is a successful self employed business owner. In 2005 he began working on a radio show with his good friends and co-host Michael Coats and Martin Howard (aka. Mr. Pickles) , their known as the “Guys at Five”. Their show is full of quick witted humor and cool tunes for the over forty crowd. Jeff has brought these skills to ManCation Nation in the form of a weekly radio show which will appear on our web site.  He will take on all kinds of subjects that affect men, how come the long ear hair or what’s up with our willy’s working or not. He will also be playing the music of his favorite un-signed artists with many more cool things to come out of that never resting mind. We are both excited and proud to have Jeff as part of the ManCation Nation team. Look for the show to begin in early 2010.

Jeff lives in Marin County with his wife Marja, three cats, two Harleys and way to many classic cars and trucks.
